Shri Krishna Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, born in 15th century India, was the chief exponent of the Vedantic philosophy of Achintya Bheda Abheda, and left a profound effect on Vaishnavism in Bengal. In this painting, Shri Chaitanya is seen with his guru, or spiritual guide, Swami Keshava Bharati, as he is being inducted into Sannyas or monkhood.
