Karno-Kunti

183 x 110 inches, Mixed Media

Another story from the epic, Mahabharat. Kunti, the mother of the Pandavas, also was the biological mother of Karna (often considered as the 6th Pandava). Since Karno was born when Kunti was still unmarried, she abandoned him at birth. Later, at the time of Kurukshetra war, when the Pandavas were fighting the Kauravas, and Karno happened to be on the side of the Kauravas, Kunti was worried that her own sons would end up fighting and killing each other. So, she came to meet Karno while he was praying to Sun God. Kunti is ashamed and heart-broken to reveal her identity and relationship to Karno for the first ever encounter.
